“ Received this as a lunch from a drug rep at the hospital I work at. I originally told the rep “no thank you” to the sandwich and THANKFULLY before he left, he handed me a sandwich and pleaded with me to at least take it home and try it, I wouldn’t regret it. Holy jeez was he right!!!!! I ended up taking one bite of this massive… life changing sandwich. And proceeded to spend the rest of my afternoon raving to my husband about how we needed to find this place!! Equipped with nothing more than the greatest deli sandwich I’ve ever had, a number and ingredients written in sharpie and the knowledge this deli was located in one of the Bloomfield’s, my husband and I spent the better part of the afternoon finding this spot. We immediately found what appeared to be it and made the trek for dinner…. Disclaimer (that was not it lol) back to the drawing board. While eating a decent but not perfect sandwich at this other place…. I found the exact deli. Behold, CityScape Deli. The very next day, we were on our way and so excited! Was it worth the hours of research and hunting?!?! Abso-freaking-lutely!!!! The portions are massive! The service is stellar! The food is omg divine! That Russian sauce on the #9…. Tangy, hints of spice, mouth watering deliciousness. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to say food has occupied my mind like this has. It won’t be long until our next visit. Thanks Lou!! ”

“ Visited for the first time today. It was as great an experience as the other reviews suggested. Good sandwich selection! I got the #11 Tigers Stadium Club (yes, basic) on 8-grain. My sandwich came with a generous amount of turkey and the lightly toasted 8-grain was super tasty. Service was kind and speedy. They treat everyone like family even if it’s your first time. Will definitely come back again! ”

“ Nice little deli. Emphasis on little. I assume most of their business is carry-out. Service is friendly, as-if-they-know-you level of friendly. Rare, indeed. Everything sounded great. I eventually ordered the #2, the Dinty Moore. I was told it was a favorite of Al Kaline & his wife. It was a tasty sandwich, for certain. I do have a major complaint, however. It concerns the construction of the sandwich. All the meat is balled up in the middle. There was none anywhere near any of the corners. With tomatoes, lettuce, dressing & cheese greasing it all up and providing no traction, that is a recipe for disaster. I ended up with most of the ingredients in or on my hand. And all the meat was gone while half of the sandwich was yet to be eaten! I was truly amazed I didn't wear any of this slippery, delicious mess. The sandwich is a bit pricey, $16.50. Add a Faygo & tax and my lunch bill was over $22. Glad I didn't get chips, too. ”

I appreciate how Lou was very welcoming and hospital. He has a great passion for this place and serving customers!!!!! I will definitely be a regular. ”

“ Best sandwiches i have ever had in my life. I stopped there to get a quick bite with my husband and they did NOT disappoint. I got the special which was pastrami, corn beef, slaw, jalapeños, onion, tomato, russian and honey mustard on a O roll. Best sandwich by far!!!!! ”

“ Wow! What an amazing sandwhich! Had the special. The corned beef and Pastrami were really thin sliced and super delicious. Had a bite of the #9 on a onion roll, and it was also amazing. The staff and owner was really friendly and super helpful. Can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. I'll definitely be back! ”
